RANGE

Hopefully you've read my article on the 4 MAIN factors to Range. If you haven't, here is the link.
There are 4 MAIN factors to Range: Topography, Driving Style, Use of A/C or Heater and Temperature.
TO EXTEND YOUR RANGE:
Topography- Coast downhill in Neutral, this will extend your range. (Legal Disclaimer: Always obey traffic laws and maintain control of the vehicle).
Driving Style: Slow down and avoid the highway. Electric cars are logical, the faster you drive the more energy you use. The slower you drive, the less energy you use. So, to conserve energy and extend your range, slow down.
Use of A/C or Heater- Avoid using the A/C or Heater to conserve energy and extend your range. Using the A/C or Heater will literally burn through your energy.
Temperature- This is the MAIN factor that you have the least control over. You can not control the weather. Just know that in the summer your range should* increase, and in the winter your range should* decrease. That is normal. Also, if you drive through the desert, your range should* increase and conversely if you drive through a cold or snowy area your range should* be reduced. Also, if you move south or closer to the equator your range should* increase. Conversely, if you move north or closer to either the north pole or the south pole your range should* decrease.
The only things that you could do to affect your range with regards to temperature would be to intentionally drive during the warmer parts of the day (noon-4pm) if possible, or move closer to the equator(if you want to, and of course, if possible).
So take these few simple steps to extend your range:
Coast downhill in Neutral, Slow down and avoid the highway, Don't use the A/C or Heater and move closer to the equator.
Happy Driving EVeryone!!! Enjoy your EXTENDED RANGE!!!
